Button Rhythm

A shot mod that turns a regular button shot into a rhythm shot by pulling the right stick down on press and flicking it up on release at the software output level.

What it does

yew's description: "Button rhythm is turning your regular button shot into a rhythm shot. When you press Square, your controller's right stick gets pulled down (on the software output level, not in real life) and this starts a rhythm shot — then when you release the button, it smoothly flicks the stick up to give it rhythm."

It does not time the shot for you. You still release. What it changes: the green window gets bigger, the shot-contest penalty is reduced, and consistency goes up.

What the ms value means

The value is how long the upward flick lasts after you release. It is the centre step of a 6-point ease-in-out sweep. 2K27 grades stick tempo, so a snap shrinks the window — the sweep is what keeps it wide.

There is no formula. Try fades and stand-stills at each value in online MyCourt and keep the one that feels best.

SituationSweep speed
Turbo fades~18% slower
Insta-stop / quick-stop shots~10% faster
Shots on the move~8% faster
Within 400 ms of leaving the move stick (step-back, hop gather)Slightly faster
Automatic context multipliers on the sweep

Taking a raw shot while Rhythm is on

SQ Remap is the escape hatch. Hold the remap button (L3 by default) while pressing Square and you get a plain, un-rhythmed Square shot.
