Setup steps for NBA 2K26

Load a script onto the Cronus Zen

Any .gpc script loads the same way. You need a PC with Zen Studio Live (Chrome recommended) and the Zen's PROG port.

  1. 1Open Zen Studio and go to the Compiler tab.
  2. 2Drag the .gpc file into the Compiler and press Compile.
  3. 3Drag the compiled script into one of the 8 memory slots.
  4. 4Press Play (the flash icon) to flash the slot.
  5. 5Disconnect the Zen from the PC and connect the rear CONSOLE port to the PS5, Xbox or PC.
  6. 6Plug the controller into the A1 USB port on the front.
  7. 7Pick the slot with the Zen's button. The OLED shows the script name when it is loaded.

Zen Studio Live 1.0.8 is the primary software. Zen Studio Legacy 1.7.0 b7 only works with firmware 2.2.14 or lower; the firmware referenced on this site is 2.3.2. The web firmware updater is at firmware.modcentral.ca (Chrome/Edge).

Check the ports and the OLED

  1. 1Controller → A1 USB port on the front of the Zen.
  2. 2Rear CONSOLE port → the console or PC you play on.
  3. 3PROG port → your PC, only while programming.
  4. 4OLED shows the script name, not the Gearhead logo, when a script is running.

A controller in the wrong port is one of the reasons a mod menu will not open.

Required in-game settings for 2K

Timing and meter are the two settings that make people think auto-green is not working.

  1. 1Shot Timing: Shots and Layups. Required — with anything else the script cannot time shots.
  2. 2Shot Meter: Off. A meter on means a narrower green window.
  3. 3Shot Feedback: All Shots.
  4. 4Visual Cue: Jump or Set Point.
  5. 5Pro Stick: Shots and Dribbles if you use Dribble Moves, otherwise Shots Only.
  6. 6Controller deadzones around 5% on both sticks; raise them if you get drift.
